Purchased from BCH camping at £10.99. BCH Camping were very helpful and provided excellent service.

As for the Vango bag, Excellent! I have a 1 year old son and this was his first time camping. We went to a camp site in North-West Germany in early June. Before going, we looked at all the options for his sleeping and opted for the vango nite star and a travel cot.

The bag has a is very well constructed and has the option to be used as a buggy snuggle as well, however the strap holes need to be opened after purchasing which i think may allow the cold in. It is roomy inside and has a good hood for little heads. The bag has a zip on both sides and can also be opened from the bottom for nappy changing.

Our little man slept all through the night and was really warn when we went into get him in the morning. This bag is a must for any baby campers out there.

A best buy for Babies sleeping bag

We took our son camping at only 9 weeks old in April, being confident campers we had a back-up plan for if the weather turned to bad and we also did our homework on what the best products were (also taking value for money into account) for taking a baby camping. We settled on the Littlelife travel cot (check out the review on this site) and "Vango Nitestar Baby" as the perfect sleeping companions for our little one. Whilst on the first night of camping we didn't get a deal of sleep from constantly checking to make sure he was warm, he slept through the night in complete comfort and warmth. The "Nitestar Baby" is thick and well made and holds the heat in its loft to an excellent standard. The Bag is stylish in looks and soft inside with the underneath extending up past the head to form a soft pillow area. We have washed the bag 4 times to date on a gentle hand-wash cycle, allowing it to drip dry and its come up as new each time.

Whilst it is possible to have a pushchair reins system inserted through the sleeping bag, the holes come sealed as standard to keep heat in. For us wanting a sleeping bag to be just a sleeping bag is a nice option. I can't praise the bag enough and I feel confident that our baby is warm when camping. I will be upgrading to the Nitestar Midi for him when the time comes.
