We purchased the Kampa Commander Field Kitchen to replace our existing kitchen that was an unbranded model we bought years ago from Argos. The key features in the new kitchen I was looking for were - an easy build kitchen and a larder beneath that could be zipped up.

The Kampa Commander Field Kitchen is certainly easy to erect and is up and ready for use in under a minute. When dismantled it all packs away into its own bag. The dismantled size is pretty good for the amount of kitchen you're getting and the bag is good quality that should last the life of the kitchen. The Larder unit comes with hardboard inserts for both shelves to prevent sagging and the wire mesh shelf is also a handy space for storing the kitchen equipment.

I think the windshield, which is a separate buy should be included as standard with the kitchen as it's really a must to complete this perfect kitchen, we did buy the windshield and its good quality and fits perfect, it also fits in the bag and so is kept safe with the kitchen. The picture is a little misleading as the windshield actually fits into inserts on the higher level worktop, but this is the better place for the stove to be honest. Forget about the claims of a rubbish bin/basket, it don't hold anything. The rubbish basket is actually perfect for a few small utensils like scissors etc. I would say try setting it up at home a few times to get the hang of how it goes because once you've done it a few times you'll have it mastered.

I would loved to have given it 5 out of 5, but gave it a 4 out of 5 for having the windshield as an extra purchase.

I also own one of these and would recommend it, the material used for the larder section is very robust and it holds plenty. Also has some handy hooks on the right hand side to which we attach a carrier bag to make a rubbish bin :).
