We bought this for our last trip, the first time we had an EHU.

Despite getting it for a lot less than RRP I thought the price was quite expensive for what I expected to be a glorified extension cable, I was very wrong.

Firstly the cable is very thick, sturdy outdoor cable and there is a lot of it, we were on a big pitch and the EHU post was on the next pitch up but we still had lots of spare cable left over. The socket box at the tent end contains 3 sockets, a 30mA RCD and a C10 MCB. Each of the 3 sockets have a spring loaded dust cover.

It can be hung from it's integrated handle or if you have internal poles (as we do in our trailer tent extension) it can be clipped to them. This latter option was brilliant for us it kept the cables out of the way and made plugging things in a breeze.

My only niggles are the sockets are all orientated with the earth pin pointing towards the socket above so the cable from one plug overlaps the next socket down, it might have been better to angle the sockets to avoid that. To be fair though the sockets are far enough apart for it not to cause a problem.

The other slight niggle is that the bag that comes with the cable is only just long enough for the socket end, so you have to bend the cable a little more than I'd like to fit it in the bag. Having a bag however, is a really useful extra.
