A new geodesic tent which is designed as an all-round domed tent for two or three persons. It has a large apse for storage or cooking and five vents, two of which can be opened completely as windows to provide a good tent climate. Numerous guying points and a geodesic design provide the tent with good wind stability. Putting up and taking down the tent is done quickly thanks to the Clip-On system. This tent can fully satisfy the demands of virtually any intended use.

I bought a X3GE for motorcycle touring in Europe and as a basecamp for hill walking in Cumbria. Initially I was very impressed. It seemed very well made, it was very quick to pitch, roomy and lots of nice details.
Now my opinion has changed. It has ben used for two 10 day trips to Europe and 5 days in Cumbria. Last autumn it was packed a way dry in a cupboard in the house after being used in hot dry weather. When I unpacked it in the spring the clear windows had totally rotted away. A bit like bio-degrabable bin bags left in the sun. The main tent material is perfect and there are are no other signs of any problems.
Contacted Robens who replied it must have been put away wet and suggested a repair at my cost. Examination of this tent clearly shows it was not packed away wet but Robens are not interested.
The design may be good but the after sales service stinks.
