you can put bikes on top

you can get load bars - which go across the trailer that you can then add cycle carriers on (the type you put on roof bars that hold the bikes vertically)

we have a towbar mounted cycle carier but I wouldn't use it and tow at the same time see the review here

there are other towbar mounted cycle carriers but they are all very cautious when talking about using them at the same time as towing.

Great trailer, solid and sturdy.

We have just got back form our first trip with our Erde 143 and it was just the ticket. It's a more sturdy construction than both the 102 (that we used last time) and the 142 (that we nearly bought).

The trailer arrived on a pallet in 2 boxes with the axle strapped on top, the whole lot weighed a ton and it was as much as the delivery guy and I could manage to drop it off the van and onto the ground. However once the boxes are separated out it's possible to move them around.

Putting it together took about an hour and is basically like giant meccano. You need a second pair of hands at one point when you have to flip it over but apart from that you can do it all single-handed.

The trailer is very solid once it's together, and is big enough without the high top addition to take all of our camping gear, this is good as we plan to get some load bars and cycle carriers for it in the future.

Towing it was a stress free experience as it's small enough not to make any real impression while driving. It's possible to see it in the rear view mirror (so you can reassure yourself it's still there) but it's not visible in the side mirrors as it's narrower then the car.

All-in-all we're very pleased with the 143 which we've left it packed up in the garage and ready to go.
