We had this hanging in our trailer tent awning on our last trip and it proved to be very useful. Despite it being August the evenings were pretty chilly and this little heater was good for taking the chill off the air.

I'm not sure how good it would be on a really cold night, but then the awning where we had it is not as cosy as inside the tent and is pretty cavernous. Even so it warmed the awning up nicely and the glowing light it gives off (from the heater there is no separate light) is lovely.

As it's hanging high up in the roof there were no worries about the kids getting near it. The shield appears to radiate a lot of the heat down so the fact it's hight up doesn't seem to impair it's effectiveness.

Our only gripe is that the lead is a little short, we had to plug it into an extension cable to make it reach.

All in all and neat little heater and light combo.
