Royal Aluminium Camping Kitchen Stand with Windshield and Larder

Complete your outdoor dining experience with the Royal Aluminium kitchen stand. This light weight kitchen folds flat for storage convenience, and the material larder simply clips in, to keep your canned foods and cooking utensils neatly tucked away. The wind shield helps to shield your burner, preventing the flames from extinguishing under gusts of wind. With convenient cooking height and side shelves the Royal Aluminium Kitchen offers ample space for cooking for the whole family, whether camping or dining in the garden.

Often more than one for the job

Don't be in a rush to get rid of it though. Like the case of neding more than one tent. One thats easy to set up for the quick weekend or bank holiday break and then one that takes abit more setting up and is bigger for the week or more camp. Its the same with this item, you need a light weight one for moving around and then the luxury of the big one for the long haul holiday. Just worth considering.

We use these in our yurts at Yurtcamp (www.yurtcamp.co.uk) nice and solid, good colour too. Zips run well on the larder side no stiffness or sticking. recommended. Weve bourght 10!

Very good stand, however a little large even though it packs almost flat

Purchased as our first kitchen stand, I say first as we are about to replace it. not because its not that good its simply not suitable for the type of camping we do. we rushed into the purchase without thinking about our needs.

Perhaps I should explained further. We don't like to stay in one place instead our main camping trip off the year will usually be around 3 weeks long with 5/6 pitches in different locations. usually 3/4 night stops with a longer stop in the middle to offer us a break.

This where the problem is. we simply need something smaller more compact. the larder space is very useful though but as we move around a bit we tend to keep food in plastic crates that stack so rather than unpacking every item we just put crates next to the stand. so on that basis the larder area is not really used and taken valuable space in our small tent (tent is small to allow us to pitch and unpitch fast as we travel around)

although a very good stand its not the lightest or the smallest when packed. Yes its pretty flat but still takes a large amount of space in your boot. Solid stable design that works well to assure those with kids it wont topple over. The wind shield could be better and only held on with plastic suction pads. Larder has a dividing shelf in the middle and can be closed off keeping the bugs out (not the ants its a zipped compartment)

Please don't mis-understand me though this is a very good stand and will suit many campers all im saying is for short term pitches its not ideal but those spending a week or more on pitch a worthy consideration.

I still give the stand 4 out off 5 as the issues we found were with our requirements and not researching first. I did not offer 5 out off 5 as it is still pretty large when folded.
