The stove area in the centre has a detachable windshield allowing it to be taken off for cleaning. This allows the item to be used as a table if required.
There is also an additional storage shelf underneath.
The two folding side tables offer plenty of working space.
One has a detachable fabric storage compartment / larder with two solid shelves inside, offering more storage. This has a zip seal mesh door.
Folds down easily and is supplied with its own zipped durable carry bag for transport and storage.
I searched for a long time for my perfect camp kitchen stand, I was originally going to go for a Kampa one, as I liked their range. But during my search I found this little beauty.
On paper it looked good, too good to be true in fact, as the same or similar unit from other manufacturers seemed to be quite a lot more expensive (in some cases well over £60).
When it arrived I immediately assembled it. There were no instructions & I'd never put a unit of this type together before, but it was all very easy & self explanatory.
I was impressed to find that the wind-shield actually slots in to the top, rather than attaching with sucker-pads or some other afterthought like other manufacturers. And the canvas cupboard attaches with clips & velcro straps, which makes for a very stable set-up.
All in all, it's a very stable, very well made piece of kit, & is easily the cheapest of this type available on the market at the moment.
Some things that aren't listed in the description are the side pockets on the canvas cupboard & the fact it has adjustable feet on one end, for extra stability. The lower shelf took the weight of my 13 litre water container, with the washing-up bowl on the floor underneath.
Just having the cooker up at working height, with ample worktop either side, is a godsend, it's no longer a chore just to make a cup of tea!
I would deduct half a point for the shelves in the canvas cupboard, like most of these types of units, they are only made from light gauge hardboard, so they tend to bend in the middle with medium weight objects. I think I may make up some stronger ones from MDF or thin ply board. Or I may just learn to live with it. It's really not that much of a problem.
A highly recommended piece of kit.
