We never sorted a good way to make coffee while camping, which to be honest wasn't a big issue. We do like a coffee but we're not addicted, we can do without while we're away quite easily, it's not like missing out on the end of day beer after all. However that said it would be nice to have a way to make a half decent coffee while we're away.
I am still quite keen on a percolator as it'll sit on the stove and burble away in a satisfying manner, produce a lovely smell as well as nice coffee. They are very robust (no glass to smash) and easy to clean. The downside is no warm frothy milk, which is a big thing as if I'm honest as we're latte-fiends really.
On that note though I've just found this groovy cow design stove top latte/cappuccino maker that works like a percolator and has all it's advantages while also warming and frothing the milk. So what's the problem ... well it's £60 ah well.
