The recent improvement in the weather has reminded me that the camping season is nearly upon us again. So with that in mind I've realised we need to get the camping kit out and check it's all still ship shape and Bristol fashion. I know there are at least a couple of things that need to be fixed or replaced.
One of the casualties of our last trip was the elastic shock chord in one of the poles of our tent. Having had a quick look at the others before I packed them away last Autumn I know a couple are also wearing out, this is a bit concerning as the tent's only 12 months old.
Anyhow they need repairing, so I have bought some repair kits to do the job. Hopefully it will be a smooth operation but I am a little wary that each pole is 6.66m long (yes that's 666 cm, a devilish length if ever there was one). We're going away at the start of May, so I really need to get of my act together and sort them out. I'll write a post about how I get on with some pictures (if I remember to take some).
