Part of why we go camping is get away from the TV, but that's not true for everyone and I can see a time when our kids are teenagers where a TV might be a real bonus - if only to stop the moaning and whinging. After watching a guy trying to get the dish pointing in the right direction and not getting on very well on our last trip I thought this press release I've been sent might be of interest to those whose camping (or probably caravanning) experience would not be the same without a TV.

Comag Easyfind LNB and Receiver kit released in the UK

Comag has released its new Patent-Pending Easyfind LNB system, available exclusively in the UK through Nannotec Ltd. from July 2009.

The Easyfind LNB is unique, making short work of locating the satellite with a portable dish setup. Ideal for caravan and motorhome setups, no compass or satellite meter is required - it takes no more than a minute or two to align the dish and get a perfect signal.

The Easyfind LNB is equipped with a coloured LED, which indicates when a valid signal for the selected satellite is being received. It ignores all other satellite signals, flashing red until it receives the correct signal, then flashing amber and green as the signal strength increases and to a solid green light when a full signal lock is achieved.

The high quality 0.1dB LNB currently works only with a specific version the compact Comag SL30/12 portable receiver. It will be available in a complete suitcase kit and as part of a full size Satgear tripod-based kit including the receiver. An upgrade kit including just the LNB and receiver will also be available in the near future.

Available from Nannotec Ltd. on 01420 476282 or from www.satgear.co.uk

Good works!

I am skeptical in beginning, it appears to me it is another way to charge more! I admit I didn't pay for it, I got it as retirement gift.

After I set it up, to my surprise I acquired signal in 5 minutes, I have to go back to TV double check to make sure I did get programs!

Too easy to me now, I can align satellite very quickly.
