We've bought a windbreak that matches our tent. As our tent is last year's model, so the matching windbreak is now an end-of-line item which means it is either out of stock or on sale and will soon be completely unavailable. So it was a buy it now cheaply or never be able to get it decision. To be honest I am not totally sure what we're going to do with it. I wonder whether the windbreak is the modern camping equivalent of the picket fence. Will we use it to mark the edge of our territory after a massive land grab, then sit behind it watching what's going on through the conveniently placed clear section? I don't know. If it stops the kids riding their bikes into the tent it will be useful and you never know we might actually use it to shelter from the wind.
Being social loses out to our need for privacy

Lol.. I think most people now tend to use them for privacy rather than shelter from the wind.. which in shame as camping is about being social.. yet so many seem to shy away from it now. i remember camping as child and within 2 nights we were bbq'ing with people we never met before..
