New to Camping LogoThe Camping and Caravanning Club are launching a new website on the 18th of May aimed at those new to camping. This is the press release giving futher details:

The Camping and Caravanning Club will unveil an exciting new campaign to coincide with National Camping and Caravanning Week this month (May).

The annual extravaganza is taking place from Saturday, May 23 to Friday, May 29 and will once again engage the Club’s entire UK Site network in an attempt to raise even further the profile of camping and caravanning amongst the general public.

And with advanced bookings currently 27 per cent higher than this time last year and with more people than ever wanting to holiday in Britain, the Club will also target ‘first-timers’ in its New to Camping concept.

As part of the New to Camping campaign, which will incorporate all forms of outdoor holidays; a comprehensive area within the Club’s official website to help get people started will go live on Monday, May 18.

Campers will be able to access the site by visiting www.newtocamping.co.uk or by following the links via the Club website.

A media launch is scheduled to take place during NCCW week, which deliberately coincides with the spring Bank Holiday.

The Club’s Marketing and Communications Director Matthew Eastlake said: “In the current climate, camping and caravanning is an enjoyable family and cost-efficient option.

“However, we recognise that there will be many people who are either new to camping this summer or haven’t experienced the adventure with their family and friends for a number of years.

“We want to go back-to-basics and tell families, via our informative website, all they need to know for that perfect family experience.

“NCCW is a celebration of all outdoor activities and that’s why our New to Camping campaign fits in perfectly alongside this.”

Outdoor equipment specialists Gelert, Vango, Go Outdoors, Millets, Yeomans and Halfords together with Jofli, the travelling teddy bear have also thrown their support behind the campaign.
