We had a great time on our first trip of the year. The kids in particular had a whale of a time and can't wait to go again. We are not in quite such a rush as we need a few days to recover. Our tent was great, it's 'roominess' came in handy on the last evening when we had 7 adults and 8 kids sitting in it chatting, playing and drinking, all that body heat warmed it up nicely for us. The problem now is that it's packed away a bit damp (not really wet but not dry) and we need to find a place to get it out to dry a bit, but it's size makes that a little tricky, we'll work something out though.

We had a few minor issues, the first was halfway there, as I stood filling the car with petrol I realised I had left my wallet at home, luckily B had her purse with her. It was an 'interesting' moment though. Next problem was we forgot our chairs, we brought the ones for the kids but not ours. As we were in a big group we managed and in fact got to try a few others out, we are definitely going to be upgrading. Our last issue was that we didn't really plan our first nights meal very well. We had a big group BBQ but we'd not remembered to bring anything. It wasn't a problem as there was plenty to go around and we repaid the others the following night but we will be better prepared next time.

We also had a few things that worked out really well. The trailer was definitely a good idea but we're going to try and get a bigger one as we filled the little one we borrowed without any room to spare. The new table was great, we used it to make the morning cuppa on. The Fat Airics were unobtrusive, by which I mean we were comfy and warm without really noticing them, which is about as much as you can ask of something you sleep on.

All-in-all it was good trip but we need a few days to recover before even contemplating another one.
