Took the car into Anglia Towbars this morning and an hour later I got the call to say that it was all done. It's all very neat and tidy. The electrics are tucked under the bumper, which hasn't been cut or altered in anyway. They were very efficient, friendly and organised. The fitters were waiting for us as we pulled in. All-in-all a great service would definitely recommend them.

One thing I hadn't bargained for is that I have been left with what looks like the rear cross member of the car chassis. The guy said that the towbar had replaced it and so if we ever wanted to take the towbar off we'd need it. Anyway it's hanging in the garage now.

We're borrowing a trailer for our first trip of the year, which is due to be next weekend (weather and kids illnesses permitting). The deal is we store the trailer for the owners and we get to use it when we need it. When the time comes that we want it when they do, we'll buy a trailer of our very own. Seems like a good deal to me.
