When we go camping one of the things that is really annoying is the rubbish bag. We usually have a black bin liner flopped down on the ground by the cooker or the table and although it's perfectly good at ... well holding the rubbish, it's not very easy to get things into. Teabags are a particular problem as you've got to balance a hot dripping teabag on a teaspoon with one hand while trying to bend down and open the bin bag with the other.

This last week we had a new addition to our camping equipment. A pop-up garden rubbish bin (ours was from Lidl but you can get them from lots of places) it was very cheap (less than a fiver) and it was the perfect solution. When it's folded flat it takes up very little room (ours fits in the box on the front of our trailer tent) and popped up it holds a black bin liner perfectly. No more trying to hold the bag open the get the teabag in we could've thrown them in from 5 feet away (although obviously we didn't). It's a great solution to a niggly little problem.

Great minds

We have one for the washing too (well a similar one) although we just fill it up and it all gets washed when we get home.
