The following is the most recent updates on the earlier post found here Flash Floods hit campsites in the Var
UPDATE Friday 18th June @ 10:00:
We have been informed that the Syndicat de l’Hotellerie de Plein Air du Var (the campsite owners' association in the region) is unable to confirm the opening of the following campsites:
• Le Saint-Aygulf
• L’Etoile d’Argens
• La Résidence du Campeur
• Le Marc Hilaire
• La Barque
• Le Sellig
• Le Moulin des Iscles
This is in addition to the known closure of Les Pecheurs. We are currently awaiting a full status update and it is possible that some of these campsites are open normally but simply out of touch due to damaged telephone lines etc.
From another source we have been informed that Camping le Moulin des Iscles is temporarily closed.
UPDATE Friday 18th June @ 17:00:
Below is a statement from 'Syndicat FNHPA du Var':
A very small area of the Var was seriously affected by flooding on the nights of 15/06 and 16/06 last. The torrential rain particularly hit the Vallée de l’Argens area (coastal river).
The following campsites only have been declared as stricken and will remain closed for an indefinite time:
"Les Pêcheurs" and "Le Moulin des Iscles" in Roquebrune-sur-Argens, "L’Etoile d’Argens" , "La Barque", "Le Marc Hilaire", "La Résidence du Campeur" in Saint-Aygulf, and "L’Eau vive" in Les Arcs.
The following campsites were damaged but will open again shortly:
"Le Grand Calme" and "Les Lauriers Roses" opened today June 17th. "Le Pont d’Argens" will open on the week of June 21st. "Le Saint-Aygulf" will open on June 26th.
We advise you to get in touch with these establishments in the coming days for more details concerning their re-opening. The Var's remaining campsites are all operating normally.
On behalf of the "Syndicat FNHPA du Var", the President.
