Vango have announced some eco-friendly tents for next season. The range includes a medium-sized tunnel tent the Green Bean and an 8 berth te-pee the Green Tee aimed at groups going to festivals.
Both tents use recycled components wherever possible. The flysheet, window covers, hanging storage areas, inner tent and carry bag are all made from recycled plastic bottles.
Given that campers tend to be an eco-friendly bunch it seems an obvious direction for any of the manufacturers to go in, I wouldn't be surprised to see more tents made from recycled materials in the future.
Don't suppose you've come across Green (greenoutdoor.co.uk) - who also do a range of eco-friendly tents made from recycled materials etc.
Never bought anything from them myself although I was tempted by their tipis after hearing good things from the BushcraftUK forum.
