The Novice Campers
That's us, we write a blog to record our camping experiences, posting about what we decided to buy, where we took it and how we got on.
Gelert Dog Tether/Ground AnchorWe're not dog owners but lots of people who camp are. One of the bits of kits a camping dog owner usually has some sort of tether to stop Rover or Fido from wandering around the campsite at will. I thought there was only one type of tether you could buy, the corkscrew type, which in theory look really good.

When we go camping one of the things that is really annoying is the rubbish bag. We usually have a black bin liner flopped down on the ground by the cooker or the table and although it's perfectly good at ... well holding the rubbish, it's not very easy to get things into. Teabags are a particular problem as you've got to balance a hot dripping teabag on a teaspoon with one hand while trying to bend down and open the bin bag with the other.
We're off again tomorrow and have been doing some chilled out packing today. Our 6 year old son has just packed the essentials that he needs for our trip.
