We have recently passed the 500 products listed mark, which is brilliant. Part of the re-write of the site was to allow more products to be listed, so to get to 500 is great. Part of the reason we have been able to ramp up the number of listed products is that we've opened up the process of adding products to more people, making them product editors.

Some of the new product editors have been quite prolific, Merlin1973 deserves a special mention having been particularly diligent, we'd like to thank them for the help.

So why did we open up the product editing process? Well we want the site to be useful to those looking for camping equipment. We know from experience that it's hard work researching camping products online as there is no single point of reference. That's the central problem we're hoping to solve. Be a central reference site for all camping equipment, where it's possible to cross reference different makes form different retailers to work out the best products for your needs.

When we started out adding the camping products we were a little naive about the amount of equipment that was available. Having had the scale of the problem brought home to us quite forcefully since then we decided to open up the process of adding products to others.
