News and articles from the camping industry: manufacturers, suppliers and resellers

Go Outdoors is opening yet another new store tomorrow, in Norwich. It will be their 22nd store and is in the old MFI store.

That's us, we write a blog to record our camping experiences, posting about what we decided to buy, where we took it and how we got on.

Gelert Dog Tether/Ground AnchorWe're not dog owners but lots of people who camp are. One of the bits of kits a camping dog owner usually has some sort of tether to stop Rover or Fido from wandering around the campsite at will. I thought there was only one type of tether you could buy, the corkscrew type, which in theory look really good.

They Talk the Talk! and Walk the Walk but it's always to do with camping! This is the team that manage The Camping Forum keeping it up to date and problem free with fresh content and great competitions.

News and information about the site

The traffic on the site has been increasing over the last few weeks, which is great, but it meant that at the end of last month we went over the bandwidth limit on our hosting account. So we have had to roll up the sleeping bags, pull out the pegs and move camp to a new hosting account. Which all took a few days to organise and complete but we're all settled on our new pitch now.

What, why, who in-a-tent?

We're in a tent, are you? Well we're not always in a tent but we do spend some time under canvas camping in the UK.

We started this site in 2009 when we began camping as adults with our kids, having been campers as kids we should have known better.

Anyhow we found a lack of sites where you could easily find reviews of camping equipment and given we were buying lots of it at the time we thought we'd fill the void and review what we bought.

We've extended the site since to include more camping equipment and blogs from others who have an interest in camping.

We hope you find it useful and help us increase it's usefulness by adding your reviews and comments.
