The new range of Alpkit geodesic mountain tents have arrived at Alpkit GHQ and are now available for sale. The hotly anticipated range comprises three models based around a common series of design criteria and high quality components. Every tent is structured around a geodesic pole configuration offering unrivaled space vs overall strength. The outer fabric is a 40D Ripstop PU/Siliconised Nylon, chosen for its lightness, strength and resistance to UV. The nylon groundsheet has a PU coating of 10,000mm to resist ingress of moisture. Throughout the tent are subtle features designed to make campsite life easier. Rated hang tabs and pockets throughout the inner make sure you can keep your equipment where it is needed. Multiway zips, storage tabs and pockets make the doors the most versatile available.

The all new Motorhome & Caravan Show will launch at the NEC in Birmingham from 11-16 October 2011.
350 exhibitors will fill ten halls at the NEC, making it the biggest UK motorhome and caravan show of the year. It will also be the only place in excess of 60,000 visitors will see next season’s new models from all of the major manufacturers; and the only show where buyers can be sure their orders will be fulfilled in time for the start of the 2012 touring season
I've decided to try and sort the electrics in the trailer tent out. At the moment we have a standard EHU cable which clips to one of the poles in the awning which is fine but we end up with lots of things balanced on top of it while they charge up. So I thought it would be useful to have power in the trailer tent itself where there are flat surfaces to put things on.
